About me

Your Realtor For Life

Why Am I a Realtor?

The reward of handing someone the keys to their new home is an unparalleled thrill, and to help you get there is extremely rewarding.  The story that gets you there is always fascinating.  The trust my clients have placed in me is borne out in the number of friends, family members, and colleagues they have referred to me.

Experienced

Prior to becoming a Realtor, my background included buying and selling homes all across the United States for relocating executives, as well as homeowners’ insurance and foreclosure inspections.  I have a wealth of practical knowledge (thanks to my Dad, who was a builder), as well as many years of experience in customer service and tech support.

Knowledgeable

I grew up in Fairfield, and “stomping grounds” were Southport, Westport, Norwalk, and Bridgeport.  Later, I became intimately familiar with Stratford, Trumbull, and Milford, and now I live in the Shelton area.  Markets vary widely from town to town, and sometimes block by block.  Let me help familiarize yourself with the town and area you choose.

SELLING YOUR PROPERTY

Just like you, your home is unique, and your marketing strategy should be too.  I can tailor your entry onto the market to reflect that individuality.

Advertising Works!

I make sure your home is showcased where buyers’ eyes are:  Online!   Your home will be featured on all the major Social Media platforms, as well as digital advertising, and I will arrange for professional photography (with optional aerial drone photography).  I hold open houses and broker tours.  In short, I pull out all the stops so that your home sells quickly and for the best possible price.

I make recommendations: There are always things you can do which are not costly, but which pay off handsomely by getting you the highest price in the least amount of time.

  • Sometimes it’s just a coat of paint, or a new color on your front door to make the house “pop.”
  • A staged home often sells faster and for a lot more. One of my stagers wisely notes that “Staging costs less than your first price reduction.”
  • Even just a few pots of flowers in season can make the home seem more welcoming.
  • I will walk you through a “decluttering” process so that buyers can more easily envision their own belongings in the space.

Let’s talk!

Staying On Top:  Once an offer is received, I will negotiate the absolute best price on your behalf.  This is an art and a science.  I am working for you, and you can expect results.  I query the buyer’s agent regarding their financing.  I follow up diligently to make sure that everything happens on time and that the sale is solid.   I treat your home sale as if it were my own.

BUYING A NEW HOME

Oh the Stress!

The homebuying process can be emotionally charged:   A new home is your Hopes and Dreams wrapped up with your Money.  That’s some combination!  It’s your home, but it’s also the biggest investment you are liable to make.  I am there to make it a less stressful process, and to help you navigate with the best information and options available.

Experience to the Rescue

I research the market thoroughly to make sure your offer makes good sense, not only for your budget but as a home for you and your family.  I make sure that there will be no surprises down the road:  Are there shooting ranges, town dumps, or toxic waste cleanup sites nearby?  Is it in flood zone?  What is the noise factor?

Everything’s an Education

I listen carefully and pay close attention to your specific needs and must-haves. Sometimes it’s a process of discovery that unfolds for you as you go along.  I can patiently help guide you in the direction that will make you happiest.  Every property you see will help you to come to your decision.
